This position is based in the Aetna Corporate Headquarters and will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of a wide range of electrical or mechanical equipment. The role ensures safe workplace practices and drives safety awareness by example, including predictive, preventive, and proactive maintenance analysis. The individual must comply with all codes and regulations while making equipment installations, adjustments, and repairs in plant and office environments and assist outside contractors on major projects. Duties include maintaining HVAC equipment, components, and systems such as air handling units, boilers, chillers, fire and life safety systems, and building automation systems; assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining equipment using hand and power tools; diagnosing malfunctions; inspecting equipment for hazards and compliance; advising management on equipment safety; testing electrical systems; performing business management duties like record keeping and ordering supplies; working from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs; assisting during emergencies; troubleshooting equipment problems; improving plant reliability; participating in failure analysis and vulnerability studies; maintaining life safety systems; executing maintenance strategies; ensuring compliance with federal and state codes; attending educational workshops; and performing other assigned duties. Candidates must have an active trade license (D2 or S2) and 3+ years of experience in operations and maintenance of large commercial electrical or mechanical systems. Preferred qualifications include ability to work with minimal supervision, strong communication and organizational skills, awareness of operational safety requirements, and a desire to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Education required is a High School Diploma or GED.
