About the Role

The Portfolio Strategy and Executive Director is a key leadership role within the company's Portfolio Strategy Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading strategic projects at both the portfolio and program levels, with a focus on maximizing portfolio value. This includes managing portfolio processes to facilitate executive team decision-making, strategy, prioritization, and budgeting. The role also involves creating and maintaining portfolio analyses, designing frameworks and best practices, and serving as a liaison for cross-functional teams to implement strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or consulting, with a strong background in oncology and a proven track record in strategic development and analytics. Excellent communication skills, the ability to lead complex plans, and a talent for simplifying and solving complex problems are essential. Candidates for this position should possess a Bachelor's degree in business or life sciences, with a Master's degree preferred. The role requires significant analytic skills, the ability to aggregate and interpret scientific, clinical, and commercial information, and a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal executive stakeholders. Preferred skills include detailed knowledge of drug development processes, experience in portfolio management for a biopharma company, and expertise in data visualization tools. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong organizational skills, a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, and a collaborative leader capable of engaging and motivating colleagues at all levels.
