PART-TIME ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT – Work From Home
Specialty Edmonton Retailer/Wholesaler has an opportunity for a part-time Accounting Assistant.
LOCATION: Edmonton. Work from home.
HOURS: 15-20 hours per week.
QUALIFICATIONS
Accounting Diploma or Degree.
Working knowledge of SAGE Accounting Software.
Working knowledge of EXCEL Spread Sheet functions.
Two years bookkeeping or accounting experience.
DUTIES
Initial duties will be to prepare journal entries to record all revenues and expenses.
Additional opportunities to expand your role as you become familiar with the company’s operations. Specifically
Export figures from Shopify into Excel to record shipping charges and taxes (GST/HST/PST/QST) collected from customers. Aggregate figures for quarterly payments.
Reconcile company credit card accounts.
Reconcile bank accounts.

WORKPLACE, HOURS and BENEFITS
Initially, the successful applicant will work from home 15-20 hours per week.
Alberta Blue Cross plan available on a 50/50 cost shared basis after three months employment.
