Job Description

A position is available for a specialized educator skilled in working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students within a K-12 educational setting. This contract role offers an opportunity to deliver vital support and instruction, focusing on both consultation and direct services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing consultation and instructional services to up to 10 students
• Delivering up to 5 hours of focused support each week
• Collaborating with educational staff to tailor learning strategies to individual student needs
• Utilizing specialized techniques and communication methods appropriate for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting approaches to enhance educational outcomes

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Certification or licensure in Deaf Education or related field
• Experience working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across K-12 grade levels
• Strong knowledge of communication methods such as American Sign Language (ASL) and other assistive technologies
• Ability to provide both direct instruction and professional consultation effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support collaborative efforts
