Location: Hurley, NM Job Duration: NSY | Contract Start Date: August 4th | School Hours: 8:15 AM - 3:30 PM | 20 Hours/Week

An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to work in an innovative virtual setting that supports elementary students. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student in your caseload.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, audiologists, and classroom teachers, to ensure comprehensive support for students.
• Utilize virtual teaching tools and resources effectively to engage students during scheduled instructional hours.
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed to optimize learning outcomes.
• Provide support and guidance to families, helping them to understand their child's educational journey and available resources.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education or related field.
• Current certification or licensure in Deaf Education.
• Experience working with elementary students who are deaf or hard of hearing is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students and families in a virtual setting.
• Proficient with technology and comfortable using digital platforms for instruction.
