 POSITION  : Full-time, 1.0 FTE, Music Teacher position available.     
 WORK SCHEDULE  : 7.25 hours per day. 
 Examples of possible work schedule include: 
-  Day School - Late morning to afternoon (3 sections/week) 
  -  Night School - Early evening classes (2 sections/week) 
  -  Wednesdays - Success Lab class and two (2) enrichment sessions and two (2) night school sessions  
  -  Additional time for planning, collaboration, and partnership-building  
  
*The schedule including day school and night school may fluctuate each quarter depending on student need.     
 WORK CALENDARS:   2025-2026 REA Calendar      SALARY RANGE  : $50,525 - $91,753/annually (prorated based upon hire date)
 Based on level of education and full years of licensed teaching experience.     
 REA Contract 2023-2025     QUALIFICATIONS:  Current Minnesota PELSB license in appropriate area preferred and/or required: 
 Instrumental  and Classroom Music (K-12 or 9-12) RPS makes an effort to hire teachers with a full standard license in the assigned subject and/or grade level.

 Job Summary:  This position is grant-funded for three (3) years through the Let Music Fill My World grant. Long-term contribution of the position will depend on district budget priorities after the grant period ends. ALC is Rochester's alternative high school, serving a diverse and resilient student population. We prioritize student-centered learning, restorative practices, and wraparound support. Our students often thrive with creative, hands-on, and culturally relevant instruction that honors their voices and experiences. We operate day school, night school, recovery school, and success lab (online) programs, giving students multiple paths to graduation. This position will work across all programs. Our school has never had a full-time music teacher - This is your chance to be the first!    
-  This position requires on-site work and is not eligible for telework or remote work.
