Job Description
Oversees the design and implementation of IT strategies, controls and frameworks for area of accountability. Provide leadership and direction in both strategy and day-to-day execution of IT products and services for platforms and customers, and ongoing support and delivery of projects and initiatives. Provide oversight and governance of large insource and / or outsource vendor partner relationships. Responsible for providing thought leadership, partnership and helping set strategic direction for business priorities such as new product development, digital solutions and processes and technology solutions to support company priorities and growth strategy. Will have frequent contact with senior-level business leaders, and must be able to effectively advise, guide and influence decision making. Operates with a high degree of independence.
What You Do - Delivery - Deliver projects, solutions and IT services in support of approved business and technology driven portfolios of work. Deliver solutions that meet functional requirements, meet delivery schedules, within cost projections, and are of high quality. Able to prepare and present IT solution recommendations, status updates, and business value propositions to the highest levels of business and IT leadership.
- Platform Availability and Stability - Ensure supported IT systems are stable and available. Take action to ensure platforms supported are stable and available. Ensure currency of upgrade path is consistent with IT strategy and business expectations. Plan for capacity, volume growth, retirement, SLA, and OLA's.
- Business of IT - Leverages Multi-Vendor relationships and ensures high performing Vendor deliveries. Collaborates and actively supports other IT functions to ensure overall IT success. Understands IT industry best practices, standards, and resources (Gartner, vendors, etc.) to ensure continuous optimization of IT delivery effectiveness. Ensure overall success of IT delivery and meet customer expectations. Comply with process and control requirements. Understand and support the Allianz Technology mission, goals, and priorities.
- Manage staff, forecast and budgets - Direct and build high performing team. Ensure employee engagement is maintained at high levels. Manage to approved budget levels. Understand and know costs of delivery or services provided. Ensure employee development plans are set and achieved.
- Plan future - Interacts with IT and business leadership to contribute to the IT strategic plan, project portfolio plans, division, department, and individual goals that contribute to the success of Allianz and IT. Be innovative and plan for continuous improvement. Monitor and adjust goals and plan consistent with business and IT leadership expectations.
What You Bring Required:
- 8-10 years experience required: Expert in leading and directing IT solution delivery
- Four-year degree required: Computer Science, Business Finance, or other related field
- Technology Certifications, 10 years Business Experience, ITIL, PMI, SDLC, Cloud, Data and AI
Preferred:
- 8-10 years experience preferred: Has managed several different IT functions and has interacted directly with business leadership.
- Advanced degree preferred: Master in CS, Business, Finance, or other related area.
- Experience in cloud Azure or AWS data platform technologies, Big Data, Analytics and AI
Locations - Hybrid, 3 days/week on-site in Minneapolis,MN

The annualized base pay range for this role is $170,000-210,000. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, and the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the ATA total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, ATA also offers eligibility for an incentive-based annual bonus.
