Industrial Painter

Join our dynamic team as an Industrial Painter, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring our products not only meet but exceed quality standards. In this position, you will prepare surfaces and apply a variety of coatings using advanced spray equipment, all while working in a safe and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning and masking for optimal adhesion.
• Check and prepare paint for use in spray equipment, ensuring quality control.
• Maintain and adjust spray guns and related equipment to provide high-quality finishes.
• Keep work areas and equipment in a clean and functional state to promote safety and efficiency.
• Label and dispose of all paint-related waste responsibly, ensuring environmental compliance.
• Meet all job specifications and quality standards before completing work tasks.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment through adherence to safety protocols.
• Train and mentor team members on completion of painting tasks as needed.
• Inspect all finished work to guarantee quality prior to transferring to the next operation.
• Document production and quality processes accurately to create a clear record of work performed.
• Communicate effectively with a diverse range of team members and organizational levels.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma, GED, or a combination of work experience and skill development is required.
• 0-1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Experience with spray paint and paint equipment is advantageous.
• Basic computer skills are essential for documentation and communication.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding instructions in English is necessary.

Physical Demands:

• This role involves medium to heavy physical activity as classified by the US Department of Labor.
• Lifting requirements include: up to 75 pounds occasionally (with assistance), 40 pounds frequently, and carrying up to 40 pounds occasionally.
• Postural demands include continuous standing and walking, with frequent bending, stooping, and lifting.
• Continuous gripping, manipulation, and hand/power tool usage are expected.
• Ability to remain medically cleared to wear respirator equipment is necessary.
