Position Summary

The Hostess/Receptionist is the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and staff within the C-Suite/executive area, responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks.

This role demands excellent organizational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to maintain a welcoming and professional environment.

The ideal candidate is a multitasker who can handle various administrative duties while maintaining a polished and approachable demeanor.

The rate of pay is the minimum amount offered for this position. Blue Foundry Bank will compensate employees in a fair and equitable manner, taking into consideration education, skills, current and relevant experience, among other factors This position is eligible for incentive pay based on achievement of company and/or individual goals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome clients, visitors, and employees with a friendly and professional attitude
  • Oversee visitor sign-ins and enforce security protocols
  • Foster a positive experience for visitors and clients from arrival to departure
  • Handle inquiries efficiently via phone, email, or in-person while maintaining confidentiality
  • Distribute incoming mail (electronic & physical) and packages and handle outgoing correspondence.
  • Manage appointment schedules and meeting room bookings.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
  • Assist with data entry, document preparation, and general office organization
  • Collaborate with community managers and facilities for repairs and maintenance requests
  • Address complaints or issues promptly and escalate them to the appropriate department when necessary

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in a receptionist, administrative, or client facing customer service role
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-centric mindset with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of individuals
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and office management software.
  • Strong multitasking abilities with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs on occasion
