Job Description

Job Title: Executive Director (Residential Assisted Living)

Location: Virginia

Salary Range: $90,000 – $115,000 (dependent on experience and licenses)

Our client, a small family-run senior care provider, is currently seeking an Executive Director to oversee the daily operations of Residential Assisted Living (RAL) homes. The environment feels more like family than a facility, allowing for genuine relationships and truly personalized care.

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership position that requires a highly organized, compassionate, and solutions-focused individual. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the communities run smoothly and meet all regulatory standards, while also providing a supportive and safe environment for residents and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of two RAL homes
  • Manage payroll, staff scheduling, and general HR responsibilities
  • Order and track supplies to ensure homes are well-stocked
  • Supervise and support housekeeping and caregiving staff
  • Maintain compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements
  • Serve as the main point of contact for residents, families, and healthcare partners (including pharmacy and nurse practitioners)
  • Foster a caring, respectful environment for residents

Requirements

  • Active Administrator license in the state of Virginia (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Experience in a residential care setting, ideally within an RAL
  • LPN license strongly preferred, but not strictly required
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

What We Offer

  • A flexible and supportive working environment
  • Salary range of $90K–$115K based on experience and qualifications

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a small-team environment and enjoys the meaningful work of senior care. We're committed to giving our Executive Director the autonomy they need, so long as the job gets done and residents are well cared for.
