Position Status: Full-time, Regular, Exempt, Salaried
Compensation: $113,100 - $119,950, DOE
SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Vice President of Animal Care & Health, the Director of Animal Care is responsible for all aspects of animal care and welfare and facilitating the day-to-day operational needs of the Animal Care & Health Department.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences such as Biology, Zoology, Ecology, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum five years of experience in animal management in an AZA-accredited zoo, aquarium, or closely related facility.
- Minimum three years of experience in supervision, management, and leadership.
