Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking seeking a highly experienced and strategic Contracts Manager to provide expert advisory and assistance services (A&AS) in support of a major defense program within the Space Systems Command (SSC). This role will be responsible for the full spectrum of contract management activities, including negotiation, administration, compliance, and the execution of acquisition strategies aimed at supporting SSCs critical mission in developing and sustaining cutting-edge space systems.

Program Overview:

In this effort, you will be a part of a specializedteam supporting Government weapon systems program offices with systems acquisitions and program management support on various capability development programs that are intended to protect and defend the Nation's most valuable space assets. Our team is at the forefront of the advising and assisting the Government throughout the full lifecycle of systems acquisition processes that enable in most instances, rapid fielding to meet warfighter needs.

Job Duties:

• Provide expert advice to the Program Manager and Senior Space Force Leadership regarding acquisition strategies, contracting, budgeting, and execution and draft the necessary documentation (ESIS, ASD, J&A, Source Selection Strategy, etc.).
• Assist with contract negotiation, price reasonableness determination, administration, and termination procedures.
• Assist the contracting office in preparing contract modifications and supporting documentation for actions such as funding, award fee, period of performance extensions, and admin modifications.

Desired Skills:

Bachelors degree and minimum of 10+ years of related experience, Masters Degree preferred.

Strong knowledge of federal acquisition processes, including FAR/DFARS andOTAcontractual solicitations

Experience acquiring innovative, commercially available, technologies and solutions through the use of Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO).

Experience acquiring technologies and solutions through the use of Other Transaction Authority (OTA).

Must have at minimum, a Top-Secret Clearance, in-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and/or enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program (if applicable).

Compensation:

• Salary Range: $150,000 - $210,000 ( compensation varies on position and relevant years of experience and education)
• Benefits: Cigna medical, dental, vision, 401k, 20 days paid time off, 11 federal holidays, and sick leave as required by law
