Job Description
LHH is currently accepting applications for a Benefits Specialist for our client in Pittsburgh. This is a contract position for 6-8 weeks. You must reside within reasonable commuting distance to Pittsburgh to be considered.
Pay Range $25-$27 an hour
Primary Role
Supports the Benefits team with day-to-day needs including, but not limited to:
Routine emails (New hire welcome and post-orientation, new adjuncts, Statement of Health reminders & MetLife submissions)
Benefits documents filing
Mailings: preparation of new mailings (regular and compliance related) and the management of returned mail
Process a wide variety of data changes into Workday, RAND’s HCM systems.
Administer benefits programs such as tuition reimbursement and COBRA, handle employment verification requests, support open enrollment activity, handle benefits aspects of medical and paid time off absences including disability, FMLA, family leave and family care.
Interact with vendors on billing matters.
Knowledge and Skills
Experience with Workday and web capabilities are a plus.
Microsoft Office proficiency required, including advanced spreadsheets and Internet use
Strong verbal/written communication skills
Ability to work and communicate with staff at all levels
