Our company is currently seeking ​an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team! You will be responsible for data entry, invoicing, and customer account updates for our company 4-5 hours a day 3 days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Perform data entry and administrative duties 
• Perform customer account maintenance
• Compute and record numerical data 
• Check payment accuracy and account balances
• Invoice and bill completed orders 
• Apply all forms of payments to customer accounts including electronic, credit card, and ACH payments
• Maintain detailed records of outstanding invoices and coordinate with appropriate operational persons on the collection of outstanding balances
• Work closely with accounting and terminal manager

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous accounts receivable and customer service experience required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; inclusive of Outlook, Word and Excel 
• Knowledge of PortPro a plus
• The ability to work independently
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Deadline and detail-oriented

Our warehouse and storage yard are located a few miles from the Virginia International Gateway port, in Portsmouth VA. We handle all types of cargo, including overweight, breakbulk, out of gauge, and over-dimensional.
