Position Overview & Responsibilities for the Accela Business Analyst:

• Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement within the Accela permitting and licensing system.
• Collaborate with departmental stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions aligned with Accela capabilities.
• Lead system configuration, enhancement, and troubleshooting efforts, ensuring solutions are delivered on time and meet user needs.
• Coordinate and execute quality assurance testing to verify functionality and alignment with business and technical requirements.
• Work closely with Accela developers and IT staff to resolve issues and implement system improvements that boost performance and user satisfaction.
• Use tools such as Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, and Jira for documentation, analysis, and communication.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Hands-on experience with Accela systems, particularly in permitting and licensing within local government environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst working directly with the Accela platform.
• Proven experience in documenting requirements, configuring or managing Accela systems, and supporting user adoption.
• Strong background in facilitating user acceptance testing (UAT) and conducting quality assurance validations.
• Familiarity with agile project management methodologies.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, and Jira.
